AFAIK CA allows installing CARB aftermarket cats for emissions compliance reasons, but not for performance reasons. There's some sort of papertrail from what Im starting to discover. I guess Im going to find out the hard way tomorrow...

I was wondering how the aftermarket CARB cats (such as magnaflow and flowmaster) mount on the car. They don't have flanges on them. Do I take the old cats to a muffler shop and have them cut and re-weld the flanges onto the new cats? Or is there another way? I also see a bolt-on aftermarket...

Have you figured out what you are going to do with respect to the transmission? If I recall, the crank on all Honda engines before the S2000 rotate the opposite direction compared to almost every other manufacturer. -- Joe
