The time has come to let go of the car that I told my 16 year old self, 26 years ago, "I
m gonna have one of those some day". It has been an absolute joy to own, but my wife and I recently took delivery of a bouncing baby boy and the unfortunate reality is it will take up space in the garage. It's time to pass the torch.
I searched for well over 3 years before I bought this car from a prime member. It just so happens he lives 20 minutes from me. I have done little to the car but maintain and enjoy it, and with the services that were just performed last summer, the next owner will be able to do the same for a good 8-10 years.
OVERVIEW
From the outside, the appearance is very close to stock with "tasteful" upgrades. Wheels and springs give it a great stance and a more modern appearance. The modifications that you cannot see are all in place to enhance the sport driving experience. They can also be easily removed and returned to stock if one saw fit.
MECHANICAL AND PERFORMANCE
ARC DTM Exhaust, also have OEM that will come with the car.

I have also begun to "update" the external lighting. I have replaced the low beams, parking lights and license plate light with LED replacements. I never found a tail/brake light panel I liked so those are OEM. All plug and play, no rewiring.
CONDITION AND ISSUES
Mechanically the car is sound and maintenance is up to date with little more than fluid changes needed in the foreseeable future. The interior is near perfect other than the driver side bolster. It is showing wear and has a small separation at the seam. All interior metalized trim pieces have been replaced due to the that starts as these cars age. There is a crack in the dash trim by the climate control daylight sensor. All NSX will crack here someday and repair requires removal of the dash. It is simply not worth the effort for such a small issue in my opinion. The only other issue with the interior is the head liner is just starting to sag near the rear glass, it looks fine but if you want it perfect it would need to be replaced. Non Smoker.
Exterior of the car is great for a 26 year old car with 63k miles. The front bumper was re-painted due to rock chips and really the two front fenders and hood could have been done as well. The previous owner chose to retain as much original paint as possible. The right front fender had a small rub mark (approx. 2") from getting a little too close to a wooden panel in my garage. It took a little paint with it. St. Louis Auto Detail corrected this last fall. You'd likely not notice, but I prefer transparency.
There is an accident listed on the Carfax that occurred with the previous owner (DDozier). It was a 1mph "bump" in stop and go traffic. The previous owner had a police report filed in case there was damage. Before I purchased the car we had 2 different shops inspect for paint damage or signs of repaint and both were to my satisfaction that neither occurred. (I have a copy of one of the reports on file).
This car has been owned by at least 4 NSXPrime members. It was meticulously maintained by the last owner, and he sold me such a well sorted car that I had him perform the most recent round of PM (all fluids, belts hoses, MC, WP, ETC) He is a BIT of a perfectionist and I am sure he would be willing to discuss the work in detail if necessary. Recent oil change complete with oil analysis also available. Recently passed MO Safety/Emmissions.
I have a of extras that come with the sale (OEM filter, leather bra, low beam lights etc). PPIs are welcome. Additional photos and recent (2/18/17) Carfax available upon request.
