My NSX just turned over 40,000 miles. I don't think I need to run through what options the 1997 NSX has, but just to be considerate for all buyers in the market for an NSX… in 1997 Honda increased the engine size to a 3.2L DOHC V6 (290hp) and added a new 6-speed transmission.

Why am I selling my NSX which is in such pristine condition? My wife and I are separating and I'm not able to afford the car with a one (my) income family. I'm not in a hurry to sell it because I have enough savings to keep the car for awhile. However, I would rather see it go to an owner who will appreciate it and drive it much more then I can.

I am asking $47,900 for the car. I would be willing to entertain other offers, however the price is pretty much where it should be. The car has brand new Bridgestone Potenza RE101 tires ($1100 value). Mechanically, the car is perfect. I have all maintenance records for the life of the car.

If interested, PM me and I’ll send you additional photo’s and or information.

I would be willing to deliver the car up to 500 miles away. However, I will require expenses paid for (food, gas, and airfare for the way back) Also, I'm sure as a buyer you would prefer it not to be driven in the snow so we've only got a few week window in that department.

HI.

I am intrested in your car. I would like to speak to you about some details. I have posted a WTB add on this site on its Cars wanted section. Please contact me through the information in my post (phone or email). thanks- mike

I do have all service records. I'm the 3rd owner. The first owner leased the car. The second owner was a doctor who decided to have kids so his wife "asked" him to sell the car.
The Acura dealership bought the car back from him because he was such a respected customer and because all service was done at that dealer. It's the only dealer in the state who gets a new NSX every year to sell. They have one of the best NSX service technicians around. He personally has done every oil change and every service interval requirement for the life of the car.
Normally I would prefer to buy from a private person, however this dealership impressed me.

- As of 11-15-04......the NSX is still for sale....

 Carfax has made an error on this car that I am currently disputing. They state the car had a minor accident in Jan 2004. I know for a fact the car was on blocks in storage from Oct 2003 to April 2004. Carfax is looking into this for me now. I looked up the case number and some info points to an Acura MDX. Maybe a mix up in Vin#'s, I don't know. But it'll get sorted out. Don't let that discourage you. The car is perfect and accident free.

1997 NSX-T Formula Red/Tan - 6 speed JH4NA2163VT000113

I've decided to put my car back up for sale....Here is the updated ad....

CARFAX HAS FIXED THEIR MISTAKE AND MY REPORT NOW READS CLEAR

1997 Acura NSX-T (targa) - JH4NA2163VT000113
Red exterior with Tan interior. Fully loaded, 6-speed, 6-disk changer. 41,000 Miles.

This car is in excellent condition. This car has been meticulously maintained. I have all service records. Oil was changed every 3-4000 miles at a local Acura Dealership. Each service was followed up with a thorough vehicle check. (*See service record below)

The obvious question is, “Why are you selling?”. I’ve been back and forth on this for the last 4 months. You've probably seen my car advertised on NSXPRIME, then taken off shortly after  My wife and I would like to build a home this fall. The sale of my NSX would give us a bit more money for the down payment so we can build the house we want. The reason I’m hesitant to sell is because I do plan to buy another NSX within a few years, however I’m concerned about finding another car as perfect as this one. I guess it’s her turn to get what she wants

You will not be disappointed with this car. When I first started (seriously) looking for an NSX, I was planning on an early nineties car. You could not beat the price, and they look identical to the newer cars (besides the black roof). Then I came across this 97 NSX-T. The price was a little higher then I had planned to spend, but after driving it….I had to go with a 1997 or newer. The six-speed felt smoother and the upgraded engine (3.2L) felt much more responsive. Fortunately, the first 1997 I drove was in such perfect condition that I could not pass it up. The car is in the same, if not better, condition then it was when I bought it.

This car looks brand new. There are a few normal sand chips in the front which are only noticeable if you look close. I have detailed pictures of the car. And I can take more if requested. The car has lived its life in Minnesota. Because of that, it’s been stored every winter and kept out of the elements. I currently have the car stored in a heated portion of my garage. I’m in the process of doing the 60K service on it which includes replacing the spark plugs, fuel filter, flushing the brake lines, and replacing the transmission fluid.

The car is easily accessible, however keep the weather in mind when deciding to drive the car home or have it shipped. I recently got a quote to ship a car from Minnesota to California. The price was about $900 door to door. Just to give you an idea….

$46,900….. This price included an extra set of Front tires (Bridgestone) and a custom fit 4 layer protection car cover. The current rear tires are 90% and the fronts are about 70% (Bridgestone Potenza RE101) I’m planning on replacing the timing belt this spring. So I would be willing to $500 - $700 off the price if it’s sold before then.

Here is a list of all the maintance done to this car...... (I have the records)
