I requested tickets but haven't heard back yet. I plan on driving my car down from Seattle with a friend.

Tom,

I didn't receive the original e-mail and I sent a PM but have not received a reply or the e-mail with sign-up info. I wouldn't be so pesky about it but registration is limited so...

tk - I'm a new owner (very proud owner, i might add) of a '95.

I'd like to sign up for the club and the Laguna Seca event.

What do i need to do ?

Well, I re-read the email a few times...since I wasn't about to send a credit card #, I used paypal.

So, now I guess I just sit back and wait?

Looks like a cool event...I'm really looking forward to road tripping my car down over the weekend!

Hmmm... okay, can someone here on Prime forward the e-mail to me, please? [email protected]
I really don't want to miss out on this event.

J

Put me down on the list to attend for sure. Good idea to also paste this thread on the Nocal section. I rarely view the NW general topic threads. Advice: If you want to participate in the parade lap to sign up ASAP. Last year several owners were not able to join the parade lap due to the # of cars allowed on the track.

If you are not already a member of the NSX Club of America, you would not have received the e-mail, since Tom would have no way of knowing your e-mail address.

If you are already a member of the NSX Club of America and did not receive the e-mail, chances are that the club does not have your current e-mail address. You can send it to Tom or to me. (I maintain the club membership database that Tom is using, he sends the e-mails out, and we share information on membership updates.)

Alternatively, you can join the club (you can find information on how to join on the club's website, click here); for fastest service, pay by Paypal or fax the application with your credit card number. I'm forwarding Tom the info on all new club members in the two regions to which the e-mail was sent.

Anyone else who is in this situation, you have several options. As a general rule, it's not a good idea to send credit card numbers in e-mails, for security reasons (although I'll process the ones we receive that way, of course, and we take standard security precautions with that information). If you want to use a credit card, you can (a) fax the credit card number to 847-869-0302 (no cover sheet needed; the fax machine is in my home), (b) mail the credit card information to NSX Club of America, PO Box A3416, Chicago IL 60690-3416, or (c) send me a private message to let me know when is convenient, and I can telephone you at that time and take your credit card number over the phone. Of course, Paypal payments are fine too, and you can also send checks to the above address.

I'm already a member and I usually receive other e-mails from Tom and other members in my chapter area. I'm not sure why I didn't make it onto this distribution (I've never missed any other e-mailings), but I've now got the information I need. Hrant hooked me up and Tom PM'd me earlier today.

I'm not sure if Tom is going to make it to our chapter meet this weekend but either way, I'll see that I confirm my e-mail address with him and/or our chapter secretary.

But thanks...

James,
Did you check your junk/spam/V-emails? That's where I found my invite.

Yes... I checked it (always check that folder before deleting). Good tip, though. I've lost e-mails in there before, which is why I now double-check before deleting.

While we're all busy preparing for the hospitality at the ALMS event in October, let's not forget about NSXPO 2008, too! If you liked attending last year's ALMS race at Laguna Seca, and are looking forward to doing it again this year, you'll love NSXPO 2008. For any NSX lover, it's like the ALMS race, but on steroids. The same friendly, enthusiastic crowd of NSX owners and their spouses/guests. You'll be able to chat with race car drivers (Parker Johnstone) and race team leaders (Doug Peterson). But wait, there's more! Not just lunches, but dinners (great food). A scenic drive. Go-karting. Technical seminars. A group photo (like the ones below). And if you want to drive your NSX on the racetrack - not at slow speed for one parade lap, but at whatever speed you like for several hours spread over the course of two days - you can sign up for the drivers school at Pacific Raceways!

Online registration is now open at http://www.nsxpo.org/. Take advantage of the early bird discount and pay ONLY $250 for the fun and privilege of seeing the sights of the Northwest while meeting a great group of NSX owners and enthusiasts. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DISCOUNT IS AVAILABLE ONLY IF YOU REGISTER BY JULY 31. The Registration Fees increase after that.

In case you have not attended an NSXPO before, here are some links from a few of our prior excursions:

P.S. Apologies to Bob O. for stealing some of his language and photos.

I would like to plug my favorite mobile detailer for those of you bringing your baby to the show - Robert Smith 408-982-0747. I know he did a wonderful job for those who were in the Monterey area last year. I recall someone had him work on a whole lot of cars at one of the local hotels.

So, just to be sure, is the parade lap scheduled to actually take place on Sat or on Sun?

I had signed up and make a payment for this event.
It has been a month and I have not receive any confirmation about the tickets.

I know, the club is busy with other ALMS events plus NSXPO 08 event, should I be concern?

How about others who had put in the orders? Did you receive any confirmation?

I sent my paypal payment on 7/16/08 and received a confirmation email on 7/26/08. Please note, the instructions for paypal payments also included sending a separate email or fax with the order info.

"Payment via pay pal can be made by sending a payment to [email protected]. Please remember to include ‘Acura Hospitality tickets – Monterey - 18 October 2008’ in the subject line and to include your Name, Phone Number, email address and number of tickets you are ordering in the message. PayPal payments must be done in conjunction with one of the ordering methods above. If you just send your payment, it may not be processed correctly."

Thanks for the info Gary, I actually made paypal payment with the suggested instructions from Tom. I also sent the email which indicated the payment is going to be "paypal" as well. I will wait for a few days before PM Tom.

I can't remember when I made my payment and am too lazy to look for my transaction history in PayPal but, like Gary, I also got a confirmation e-mail on 08/26. I can only imagine that maybe the orders are being processed in batches and that Gary and I were in the same batch. The pessimists might interpret Gary's and my confirmation e-mails as meaning that they were all processed by now and the e-mails were all sent on the 26th.

I know that we all like to get a warm and fuzzy feeling that things are moving behind the scenes and lack of communication doesn't provide that. But I also know that the event is still two months away and that last year's tix didn't come in until just a couple of weeks before the event.

I'm sure Tom is taking care of us... he's never failed us before so let's give him a chance.
