I’m looking at some wheels with the above size tires for my 92. The stagger front to back is pretty close to stock tires 8.2% vs 7.7%, but I have also read early model NSXs are more sensitive to stagger.
Would a 6% difference throw a TCS or ABS fault?

Those sizes will not cause any problems with the TCS or ABS, because the difference in the ratio front vs back is almost the same as stock, as you note.

I would be concerned that the 40 series rear will be too tall. Typically you would run a 35 series tire on the rear in an 18" diameter.

i run 215/40x17 and 255/35x18 with no issues on my JDM '92...

Ken lives!!!! I run a 35 series tire with 18 in rears.

I'm running the exact sizes on my 91 NSX without any issues. In fact, I ran 265/40/18s in the rear without issues...why did I is another question....

The acceptable range is within 5% of the stock size to keep the TSC happy...which is from 2.7 to 12.7%
