4.23 R final drive

I have a A61 gearbox with 91 AT car
And I'm looking for the R final drive upgrade.

These are the parts that I may need for the upgrade


Here are the questions:
1) Is it necessary to replace the Main shaft COMP as well (23210-PR8-N00)? It should be specific to 6MT type r only
2) I heard that the EPS will not function after the Type R final drive is installed. Any solution to this problem?

You need to test the bearing preload before choosing the shim- you won't know until you measure it. The process is described on page 15-12 to 15-13 of the 97-05 manual.

How about the eps problem

The early Autos came with EPS? I didn’t know that. I thought the EPS wasn’t introduce until years later.

They did. However, the unit got smaller and lighter over the years.
