Adjusted Odometer

How could you tell if the odometer on a NSX has been adjusted?

I have seen a 91 NSX with only 15000 miles on it.

Just wonder if it could be told from visual inspection of the odometer.

1. It is not at all unusual for a 1991 NSX to have such low mileage.

2. Does the condition of the vehicle match the mileage? Seat wear? Pedals? Carpet? Engine compartment? A careful inspection should tell you if the mileage is correct.

3. Inspection of the odometer? Not unless it was done by an amateur. Do the dials/numbers all seem to line up correctly? Any evidence that the dash has been removed? Scratched fasteners, loose clips, etc.?

Have you tried running a Carfax on the car? That could be another way to tell.
