alternator question

Does any one know if I can use an alternator from a different car on a 91 nsx? Mine is getting weaker, so I would like to replace it before it crap out on me.

I got it tested, it's not putting out enough voltage. I thought about getting an oem one, but just don't want to pay for the "NSX" price if it's the same exact one as an Integra, Prelude, or Accord. If no other matches, I'll most likely get it rebuild.

The rebuild parts are available from honda.

i bought a newly rebuilt one or 130 lol. work great now. Now I'll have mine rebuild just to have an extra one.

hey while you have one out can you tell me if the pulley spinns freely or if there's some resistance to it.
