Anyone know what these 2 wires are?

Hi folks. I noticed these 2 wires in the engine bay that were taped off and not connected together. Can anyone tell me what these are??

It looks like you don't have an engine cover, so this might be for the missing engine cover switch? However, it doesn't look to be in the right location.

Thanks guys. I never had my hard engine cover on so that makes sense

yeap, looks just like the wiring for the targa clamshell. i replaced mine last year and the wires connecting to the switch looks just like that. and it was on driver-side next to the cover hinge.
