August Meet?

Just as a suggestion, the Black Angus parking lot in Dublin was a very easy place to meet and there is a Starbuck's Coffee there tooooooooo.

There will likely be some intermediate meet points for caravans to prime meet point Michael, but we need to plan on an ultimate meet point in the Napa area for those converging form different locations/directions - I'll work on this and final specifics of routes over the next couple of days.

we need to have a meeting point and time, and then a spliting point for the wine group and tour group. Ken & Ken? Ideas?
How about the same meeting place like they did before. HERE Ikea Emeryville???
Then head down to hwy 80n then meet with SacNSX'ers @ Vallejo where Hwy 80 and hwy 29 intersects. Then everyone caravan in to Napa??? Just my 2 cents.

1. Ken (D'Ecosse)
2. Coleman and gf (NSXER119)
3. Mark & Sandy (smhrednsx91)
4. Lawrence (larryNSX)
5. Michael & Ann Marie (Cairo94507)
6. Steve & Nancy (Juejaimon)
7. Beerdog and Wife
8. Nalesh and Lisa (mickeylex) - hopefully with my NSX, or we will bum rides
9. Ariel and Wife (amgnsx)

Well for San Jose/East Bay guys, we will likely go up 680 all the way, over Benicia bridge then over to Vallejo.
As I suggested earlier, we can arrange a couple of diferent intermediate routes/meeting places but converge where it matters, in the Napa area. The "fun" part if the drive will start there, not Freeway routes to that point, although it will be at least fun to mini-caravan.

The quickest way to NAPA for the San Jose/East Bay people is to go 680 to 80, west on 80 for 1 mile and then Highway 12 to 121 into NAPA. Much faster and more scenic than through Vallejo. Good meeting spots are the Park & Rides in Danville @ 680 & Sycamore Valley Rd or San Ramon @ Bollinger & 680 or Peet's coffee in San Ramon off Bollinger.

I think we're saying same thing - 680/780/80/MarineWorld Parkway/29/12 - rather than121 though, thinking just hook into East side of Napa via Napa Vallejo Highway That will put is the right side of town to head out Monticello Road towards Lake B. The 80 route also shown for the SF and Oakland guys.

Maybe a meeting place on that East side of town on the way in - either Napa Valley College right off NV Highway, or there is a strip mall with a Starbucks right off Soscol (which N V Highway becomes)

Is 9am good time to aim to be there? Earlier?

.

Are we traveling in a group, if so, where are the meeting spots. Als0, we may want to reconsider going through Vallejo - Marine World amd Infenion traffic at that time - not good. Better choice (10-20 minutes less time) & more scenic is Highway 12.

Looks like the route I suggested may be unsuitable for the NSX's so an alternative route needs to be fixed.
Perhaps the previous Berryessa route

For those on the East Bay corridor, I suggest we meet at the Danville Park n Ride at 8:00 for 8:15 departure.
That's at the Sycamore Valley exit on 680 on East side

The Sycamore Valley Road Park & Ride is a great gathering point. There is also a coffee/bagel stop right in the Livery shopping center at Sycamore and San Ramon Valley Blvd., just west of the freeway as well as 2 gas stations.

You guys really should stop by the race track (Infineon Raceway) at 3:30PM
to chear on your favorite NSX owner-racers competing in ultra-competitive
club racing. Come by and say hi... it would mean a lot to us. I will be
in #69, Andrie Hartanto will be in #88 if he makes it out as well. We are
in H1 class which means our cars are supa fast. :)

Word of Caution

I won't be able to make the drive this weekend, but I was looking at your map and the road you want to take to lower lake ( Knoxville Rd.) is very rough and kinda designed for 4x4s. It goes thru creek beds and has a lot of gravel, it turns to paved roadway by the Mine entrance then it is nice up to Lower Lake. Once you are on the road it is hard to find a place to turn around. If your car is lowered you might not make thru. I know I have been there and made it thru but I don't want to do it again, You might want to go up thru Butts canyon and go into Middletown and then towards Calistoga, there are some really nice turns, I love that road  . You guys and gals be careful out there.
