Boxing up OEM seats?

I'm about to put my OEM seats up for sale and was wondering if other owners who have sold them have any tips for shipping them. Is it possible to fold the seat backs down onto the cushions?

The ones I bought were bolted to a half palate and then padded and wrapped. This of course required freight shipping.
