Brake proportioning valve

Has anyone here installed a BBK with the brake proportioning valve? I have installed the Brembo BBK fronts only, then fronts with the rears without ever having to use the brake proportioning valve. It doesn't feel as if the car needs it but then again, the car was never driven on the track, though driven hard on the streets. If anyone has any input on the difference with a proportioning valve, I would greatly appreciate it.

You may need the proportioning valve if you get aggressive at the track. If you slap on big meaty sticky tires and start hitting the brakes hard with a little trail then you’ll probably come to your own conclusions. For street driving on street tires, you might not find that there is enough weight transfer to require a valve. I have two usual biasing settings for my car, one for street and one for track w/ sticky conditions.
