Hi, everyone,
Sigh.....
Ok, I just got the 60K service done on my '94 NSX (last week). In addition, they had to replace the oil pan/axle boots/some other stuff = $2700.
I also recently ordered an SOS HID kit and Taitec GT Lightweight Parallel-exit exhaust = $1700.
Now, after all those expenses, what happens? My 8 year old NSX climate control does not work properly (sometimes blows only cold, sometimes only hot), and the local NSX tech's diagnosis is a "blown chip," which means replacing the entire climate control unit: Illumination Assembly ($1000) and the Computer Assembly ($750) plus labor ($300) = $2000+
What causes a blown chip? Is it because the heater was seldom used (previous owner lived in Florida)? Or, was it one of those "I can't pinpoint the problem, so let's just replace the entire unit" kind of diagnosis?
Anyways, thanks in advance, and sorry about the venting!
