Compatible years for OEM springs/shocks?

Please advise on what years of shocks/springs will fit a 94? Are the later years any stiffer or different? Do springs really sag after 91K miles? Would the shocks be overly worn also? Are the earlier years any softer or different in significant construction? I'm told by Acura dealer can't adjust alignment to spec because of sagging springs. Is this likely? I want same ride quality as stock - not lower or stiffer. Thanks.

I'm somewhat skeptical. Seems springs should be designed to perform entirely within the elastic range of the material. Barring damage/rust, I would think they should last the life of the car. Ask them to quantify the amount of sag at each corner and their methodology of measurement. They should tell you the exact height from the tire contact surface to the control arm bolts, as per the manual. If not, they should have an established, logical relationship between the factory spec and what it is they did measure to. If they have neither, consider getting a 2nd opinion.
Regardless, it seems people with lowered suspensions on this site are able to get their cars aligned somehow.

ETA: Struts are another story. I would replace them for sure.

The ride height is very important for the FACTORY SPECS alignment. I think that was what the dealer meant. Maybe your springs were sagging a little bit but that's no reason NOT to do an alignment. What would all the lowering people do? :D You may not reach the factory specs i.e. camber, but you surely can do caster and toe.
