Does anyone or a vendor have insight/experience with seat belt replacement?

I thought about replacing my seat belts with some aftermarket color ones (yellow or red) but I am not really into racing harnesses for road use. Obviously there are concerns with replacing such a critical safety item but there are legitimate and high quality solutions available and I'm not that risk adverse so I still want to explore the options. Therefore there is no need for lectures about the risk potential of such a modification unless you have some first hand experience or actual relevant data to share  I can see potential liability issues arise if insurance companies get ahold of such info though so you may want to use discretion. I have collector car insurance and use the car as a second car for leisure so it shouldn't be a problem as I have the opportunity to list out my mods. Anyways, I'm making sure to only look into USA made replacements that meet Federal standards so there is at least a standard of quality control regulation.

Here's what I've come up with so far:

1) It's not that uncommon to do this, a lot of older cars and restorations do it. It is not recommended to just replace the webbing!

2) Good informational overview here: https://www.seatbeltplanet.com/seat-belt-101/

3) There are some options out there but nobody makes car-specific kits (if there is such a thing). I'd be looking at a 3-point retractable belt as close to OEM as possible, but with a longer female end to accommodate race seats (the Type R came with extensions).

I see a lot of corvette and american car forums show up in a google search.

I didn't... please post pics and review as I'd like to see the actual product and fitment!

I just got mine in the mail, it has the longer female end. Which is good for us with aftermarket seats, butuhm... How do i take apart the interior wall? Couldn't find a wiki for it. Ill try searching some more.

Did you ever install these? Would love more information.

Found some vendors that make (expensive) turnkey solutions for BMW and Porsche:

and one that offers a replacement service:

who may be getting their webbing from this place in the UK:

There is a thread on how to remove the exterior b-pillar. It is the same process. You will have to remove most of the upper and rear interior to get it off. It is not difficult really, just be careful as the parts are old and brittle.
