double din head unit help

hello nsxprime, its been a while
i have been looking for a new double din head unit my current one was from 8 years ago a kenwood unit with no bluetooth, it could have bluetooth but it requires an adapter kit
so my 2 questions are if you experienced techies could point me to the right double din unit for our cars
i have 2 focal kps speakers in the front with an alpine digital amp with the sub under the passenger footwell
and the double din console is from SOS , would it fit all double din units?

generic needs: touch screen, bluetooth, android compatibility

wont need the EQ i usually use factory head unit settings , or time alignment if its included i wont complain
i'd like to use my phones nav on the screen of it, i use andriod phones
my budget is open, would like to get a great deal , however i understand you get what you pay for, so i dont mind paying for a great head unit

100% get an Android Auto headunit then! It's very slick, and the voice command via Google Talk is great. If you like Google Maps that's the nav that will be on the screen off the phone.

Here's a couple good options. The first 2 don't come with 'built in' nav, it will only be off the phone, so using data, etc.
They're almost the same, simply Pioneer Vs. Kenwood, so a little bit different use interface setup, etc. I personally like the Pioneer 4100nex the best lately, but that's only because of the skinning of the GUI, I think it's very attractive.

Then there's options with nav built in, so you can choose between Android Auto nav, or the headunit's provided nav which doesn't use phone data. This is redundant to some folks, but others want it 'incase they lose their phone on the road' or something

Android Auto is new-ish on the market, so we're only just seeing the big names including it. I'd expect some Alpine, Clarion, maybe even JVC coverage within a year or two.

i have the 8100nex and LOVES IT! it is pricy but i dont plan to upgrade for the next 10 years.

there are MANY good quality decks out there right now it's really hard to pick so we would say narrow it down by features:

- Volume knob, do you prefer a rotary or push button?
- Do you want a motorized screen or prefer a fixed?
- Features such as Pandora, XM
- Do you use an Android or Apple phone?
- Want USB AUX inputs or 3.5mm?
- Brand preference? Each brand has it's unique feel but can't go wong with any big 4 (Kenwood, Alpine, Pioneer, Clarion)
