Changed down a gear, not good noise (didn't over rev) changed straight back up to fifth pulled straight over to hard shoulder popped it in neutral and engine immediately stopped.
RAC came out the coolant was pretty empty. Got it recovered to garage. They think coolant may have leaked internally rather than externally.

woudln't an internal cooleant leak have burned off/produced smoke/smelled funny? did you notice any of these things before the incident?
The temperature gauge didn't go up noticeably, and no there wasn't any funny smell just a sudden horrible noise when it went.

Oil? Oil pump? Our NSX engine is bullet proof unless abused, please report back the initial problem associated with this rod failure.
