I know it's a bit early to discuss, but the schedule for nsxpo has been set for(Oct 7-11th).
It is obvious that the dates could be difficult for some of us to get a long break from work, school or wife.
I'm wondering for those who are planning to attend, when is your ideal time to start the road trip? Prehaps we can setup a group drive from there.

There should be at least 4 cars from the Portland area driving down. Would be fun to do a big caravan.

Let's keep in touch.
Dave

Sound like we have some interest here in the Norhwest to go to the NSXPO. Me and my friend both are interested in going to the NSXPO 2005, it would be fun to caravan together from the Seattle area.

Isn't the BayArea in CA considered the NW? :D I wouldn't mind hooking up with some BayArea NSXers and heading down ... and maybe meeting up with you northerners heading down the pike. :D

I'm sorry to respond this late, I'm the one who actually 'cause' polar to post this.

Seems like we have more than 4 from WA, and another 4 more from OR... Anyone think of luggage and track supplies space in our trunk?? I'm specifically asking people who is in Puget Sound Area; if we want to ship the big packages down like, track tires, jack, Jack stand, oil, brake fluid...etc. We can bundle everything we needed (but we don't want to carry in our 2000 miles trip in our car) on a pallet and ship it down with my shipping company.

This is going to be a crazy caravan. There will probably be at least 30 NSXs from the Bay Area merging with the Sacramento crowd and the Washington/Oregon members along the I-5. 60 to 70 NSXs on I-5??!!!
Maybe, we should even consider an evening or early morning caravan to avoid traffic.
Buy your club radio early and perhaps the V1.
I can't wait!

What chances do we have in getting the same sanctioned escort with the CHP as they do for the "Running of the Bulls" Lamborghini Diablo club drive? :D

We had such an escort at NSXPO 2003 for some 100 NSXs using the fast lane from Comptech to the Yolo County line on our way to Napa. The CHP was egging us with hand motion to pick up the speed and go faster than 80 mph to keep the caravan intact ...... some hit the triple digit while the CHP was on their right side

I am sure $omething can be arranged for the $afety of all motorists if 50-70 NSXs are all going down I-5; it might take a contract though.

Wow, 100 NSXs parked at CompTech. That must have been some sight. :D But where did everyone park? CompTech's rear parking lot can only hold about 30-40 cars packed tightly, and another 2 car in their front parking spaces. You guys must have been lining the streets around CompTech.

You guys really getting me excited, I was very much into attending this year nsxpo and the drive from Seattle to AZ is somewhat disconcerting me. Been driving from Seattle to Iowa then Miwaukee back to Seattle on I90. Three tickets. Expensive Insurance for next 3 years. HATE driving long distance on boring highway since then.

Now with more nsx fellows along the road, it'll be much less boring. I never get tired of staring the nsx behind... :) I'm pretty sure as we getting closer, we will need some planning and itenary for us to meet at the right time and the right place to form the big caravan.

That will teach you not to drive to Iowa! I have done that drive at least half dozen times, BORING is right!

We should have a safer, and ticket free run to NSXPO, laser jammers are our friend!

You can count me in

Me and my g/f are going to go this year. She's all excited about it. I just dont know if I could stand the drive down there with her ;) lol... I kinda wanted to take a detour through Vegas. you know it would be cool to get some pics of the car on the strip... I could always do that on the way back though.

Kevin, she could always sit in my car  LOL. As of right now, my wife still not planning to go with me, and if we are shipping track tires and other access. to AZ, I should have an empty pass. seat.

I can see you are in Lynnwood, I'm in Shoreline, we should meet sometime, PM me!!
