Grille or no grille for NSX?

whattabout sum ice in yo' grill?

To the best of my knowledge, no one has ever installed a billet-style grill on a NSX!

(thank god)

As far as fabricating some aluminum or resin mesh (basically gutter-guard or lathing sheet), many have done that for aesthetics as well as protecting the radiator and the A/C condensers. There are numerous DIY tutorials on the forum, just use the search function to find the relevant threads.

Also, there is a vendor here who offers some pre-fab' stone-shields:

Stone'd Shields: A/C Condenser Screen...

Stone'd Shields Radiator Screens...

If you decide to order, just make sure to get confirmation that they are in-stock; back-orders can be frustrating. . .

Thank you for the website.

No grill here. And I have had a rock punch through 1 radiator in my 9 years of ownership. Told myself after that I'd get one of the stone shields from the different vendors after that. But have yet to do so. But haven't had any other hits. I probably just hexxed myself for saying this too.:eek:ugh.:tongue::biggrin:

Yep!! I would start shopping immediately for the best price for a radiator:biggrin: Either that or drive around the rocks and boulders that are being kicked up at you!!

I have these and they fit very nice.

I've never had one nor have heard of anyone wanting/needing one.

Trust me you wish you had if you are driving into a dust storm, bug storm, or at the track getting all the rubber and other debris ......... I have had one since NSXPO 1999, and have removed it only when the ambient temp has been over 90F at the track.

I've heard of cars overheating at the track with the rad shields,I think you would be ok with normal street driving, but really my 96 rad looks pretty messed up from years of high speed driving and I have no temp issues as is.I have also never been cited for a ugly radiator at any concourse:tongue:

There are 2 different versions with these stone shields. One for street driving and one for track driving with more holes for cooling. I don't track so I got the street version. I think everyone should have these to protect the radiator and a/c condensors.

Here is a link.

All 02+ have a radiator grille from the factory. Look closely at the nose of an 02+ and you see it. Obviously they thought it better to add one in later models.
