Headlights flickering....

'91 with 45k miles...I've recently noticed that my head & dash lights flicker slightly whenever I apply the brakes...Any ideas?

Assuming that your battery and charging circuit are in good shape I would start by removing and cleaning every ground connection that you can find. Voltage drop through the wiring harness is a pretty common problem on cars as they age and I've been told that Japanese cars are more susceptible to it than others but that was just one man's opinion.
