Help!!. 24 hours Drive home. Buying a NSX.

I bought mine last Sept in San Francisco, drove it back to Illinois (36 hours nonstop). Completely destroyed the rear tires. Had cords showing when I pulled into the driveway

I used painters masking tape both times that I bought my nsxs(2).. I ran out tape on my way back so I picked up some duct tape that has no residue and it seemed to work okay.. i only used the duct tape on areas that the masking tape flew off.. didnt want to use to much incase it would peel my paint and left sticky marks..
