Let's debate politics!
Admidetly, I don't know where ALL the politicians stand on the issues, but as far as Ron Paul...
+Small Government
+Speaks like a man.
-KKK likes him...scary... (that's what I hear..)
+/- Wants to get out of Iraq immediately. I agree we need to leave, but we have to have the right timing...
+Not only does he preach small government, his voting record is unwavering in support of it.
+One of the few honest men in Washington.
As for the KKK, I checked into this, specifically the Stormfront site. They reasons they support him were because of his positions on the Iraq war, his defense of civil liberties, immigration, and economic policies. All of the members that I saw post about him admitted that Ron is not "one of them".
As for Iraq, the sooner the better. Bush is trying to spread the war to Iran under false pretenses (nukes) just like Iraq (WMDs). The sooner the better. The end result is going to be exactly the same whether we leave now or 5 years from now and we are only delaying the inevitable.
I like him the most among the republican choices. However, I doubt that he has a real chance of getting nominated. He doesn't have enough money to compete with Guliani, Romney, Thompson etc.
I have to disagree. He raised 4.3 million in one day in Nov. He raised as much as McCain last quarter ($5 million) and has already raised almost $11 million this quarter, and there is another "money bomb" day planned like the one that raised the 4.3 million. His fund raising is sharply increasing while the others are going down. McCain and Romney are funding themselves.
I'm not even looking at candidates unitl mid-Summer '08. As soon as I hear political crap on TV or radio, I turn the channel or let my daughter have the remote.
I think you should seriously reconsider. It's important to get to the primaries en force to vote for Ron Paul. Check some of the videos about him on YouTube. I can promise you he's different than any politician you've ever seen.
He is not a war hawk like the rest of the republicans. Has some very good ideas that the big companies and lobbyists will not like or agree to.
He's known in Washington as Dr No because he votes against so many spending bills. Lobbyists don't even bother going to his office because he doesn't give him the time of day.
Here's a recent interview with him on ABC.

Need to know anything, just ask. I'm pretty well versed in Ron Paul.
