its a club...thats how it gets...doesn't have to be Ferrari.....and of course you will get snobbery, happens to me every time i instruct for other exotic car clubs, but those individuals are in the minority.

I've never had this kind of thing with Porsche or BMW or any other club. Just rubbed me the wrong way. And I know it's not everyone probably just one guy that decided an Acura is not good enough to be part of the off track events.

The ferrari clubs have had plenty of internal strife over the years....there have been splinter groups/alternate track events because they can't get along with each other.

...... My car and my fiends Z06 were also there and I can say the NSX got a lot of attention in a sea of F430s.

Don't worry yourself about their internal squabbling, enjoy the event and smile knowing that without your NSX their sea of red probably wouldn't even have made it to the event!!!

Who cares....I recall reading a story about a lone NSX pulling up to a Vette meet and getting shunned away. If you want to hang out with a bunch of Puma sneaker wearing, pit shirt posers than go buy one so you can be cool too. But really....what did you expect at a Ferrari club event? The old NSXSTOCK yearly Spring event was NSX only on the drive....kinda same thing isn't it?

we in the NE have mellowed abit..we had a bull on our last river run.

Dave - I am having a good chuckle.

I can up you with one. When we had a special group of Ferraris, Lambos, and Maseratis all bunched together as a special group for instructions at our regular TrackMasters program, we were told beforehand that as instructors it would be "advisable" to have clean clothes - not your shade tree mechanic showing up ........ makes sense I guess. And when we were subtly informed that the catered food was not for instructors, we didnt care what they said either LOL!

Suffice it to say the testosterone on some of the drivers were off the chart until I had to call them all back to a special debrief to note that you can't pass three cars at a time without point by especially when you had novices and show-off high intermediate drives in the same group. Of-course the culprits didn't show up. It's just part of their psyche ......

Yeah thats the other thing is the classroom sessions seem to be optional?

Just smile and be the bigger man. I've seen this BS all too many times. Most prevalent in the POC/PCA club in SoCal. I've even felt it in the Alfa Romeo Club. Thats one of the many reasons I love owning an NSX; the BS & pretentiousness is much lower than other sportscar clubs. Best car, best club, best owners.

was at the Sarasota Car show surrounded by Ferrari's as i was entered in the show with the red 2015 inspired NSX build. well my normal NSX was parked across the street and where we were set up I could see my car, it had more of a crowd around it that people were in the show. tons of F-cars. I had business cards all over my windsheild wanna sell it, call me. wanna join the show next year applications etc.

but as I walked thru this show to see the other cars I got they snob feeling like when I was in Private School as a kid. I hate the snobs with a passion. but Turbo your were a better man than me cuz I would have replied with a F-you LOL

if I get a letter in the mail from a zombie debt I paid years ago I send it back to them with cut outs of coupons equaling the ammount they say I owe them.
I have even sent them cut outs of porn pics and some coupons for condoms to go Fthem selves LOL

can you imagine working in billing there and open the letter you think has money and a huge cut out penis flops out LOL

I laugh everytime I do it. sorry ranting

whats the big deal if they just want all things Ferrari?
its like Augusta national and people outraged that it wont allow female members.
and some of you who think that Ferrari owners are snobbish will most likely get the same label from civic and sentra owners....so be careful where you point the finger.

I nominate Roberto to be the next NSX Club President:biggrin:......Berto knows his $ hit.
Easy does it there Tim, I belong to the Groucho Marx school of "I'd never belong to a club that would have me as a member"

Here's an abrieviated list of some of the car clubs I've joined and eventually told to kiss my sweet a$$:

Porsche - POC, PCA - Should be renamed AFCA (Arrogant F-tard VW Club of America)

BMW - BMWCCA, BMWOC - Should be renamed (Arrogant F-tard German Ford Sedan that aint all that Club of America)

Alfa Romeo - AROC - These guys are pretty cool, real grassroots, but a bit masochistic

Mini Cooper - MCC - classic Napoleon complex

Lotus - LOC - meh...

Austin Healey - AHCA - sweet cars but what a nightmare...

I wouldn't of lasted 5 min. in the Ferrari club.

I kind of want to let this topic die and move on but I wanted to address your post. It's not a big deal if you state up front that there is a FERRARI show or display and that some cars will do their thing. No big deal. It's an issue when you create an event with a bunch of activities for the participants. Track day, dinner, reception, car show, etc. Then you charge everyone the same money, and then say "but some of you can't do all the activities if you don't own a ferrari"... in an email... days later. Do you see the difference?

You should have sent this video back in your reply...

ahh... tribal strife in the car community

If its clearly stated that a meet is a BRAND ONLY meet, then yea that should be respected.

I find that having a unique Japanese sportscar is a balancing act at shows/meets, not many of this particular flavor out there
usually park away from "groups/lineups" and let it stand on its own, if folks like it that's cool

one of our active trackday groups is Alfa Romeo, and we lucky to have more than 3 alfa showing up.. Im not sure what you think when you host a nsx gathering n seas of civic/integra showing up and attracted a "wrong" group of audiences' attraction. so ur nsx look so nice n got people's attetion. . so yeah u were a ferrari party crasher. You shouldnt be feeling negatively for crashing their party and stealing their attention. :)
