The above image is from my first day of track instruction at Road America. The green (I believe) is Zone 2 or normal effort/heart rate during a workout. The yellow is Zone 3, difficult to carry a conversation but doable...an effort to maintain. Red, well, red is all out.
I should note that we had two perfectly dry, one soggy and one driving rain session on this day. It appears from the green that I enjoy full, wide-open-throttle while my turns are slightly more work/effort. That said, it was a glorious two days on the track.
