Lost motion assemblies between 3.0 3.2 interchangable

My engine is a 3.0 and its LMA are making more and more noise. I know it's not of any concern but what about installing the OEM spring based ones from a 3.2 into a 3.0? They're also sign. cheaper and more reliable. Does this work?

Have a look at this thread. It seems the 2000 and later LMA's won't fit into the pre-2000 heads without shims - which SoS sells.
