You know Honda spends wacks of engineering money trying to keep their civics quiet, the accords sound proof, the S2000s purring, and the NSXs with just enough growl.
I find it strange that people put tail pipes resonators, and mufflers to make these cars so loud they are breaking by-laws. The sound some civics put out makes the car sound like it is broken, not cool.
When I had my first car in the lat 70's, the thrush muffler is what everyone wanted for that LUB, LUB sound. Not loud like there was no muffler at all; no bark, or a lawn mower without a muffler.
I guess I am getting old, but I trust the engineers at Honda. A new civic today makes the same amount of noise as a hybrid. That is engineering. Making it bark is just irriatating.
