Man I just can't yet talk myself into the flat/matt black idea. Maybe it'll grow on me but I still want to get out my buffer.

I'd do it seeing as you can wrap it and reverse it if you ever wanted to all while protecting the stock paint. The GTR is 100% for sure a wrap and not paint. My buddy has one and talked to the guy through the GTR forum. I believe that he lives in Hong Kong. Cost him the equivalent of around $1600 U.S.

Interesting vid.

Anybody know the name of the song used in the soundtrack ? It has a nice thump with a Herbie Handcock flavor to it.

Couldn't you use the ap for the iphone to find out? I saw the commercial for it on TV, seems pretty neat.

Haha, I was just going to suggest that. The app is called Shazam... works amazingly well.

(The song is called Jolie Banane by Kraak & Smaak.)

But back on topic.... I have to admit, I am a sucker for a well done matte black look. If done cheaply or done to the wrong car it looks bad. Personally, I think it would look sick on an NSX, what with the car's fighter-jet design cues.

A wrap would be the way to go for sure... much cheaper and easier to maintain, BUT... it is NOT always safe for the paint. I've heard of certain wraps messing up the paint underneath...

Sad to see such great cars look so bad with that flat black look. People think this will be low maintenance but believe me it's not. To keep it pristine the final finish better be hard as nails. The major problem with matt finishes is that if rubbed too long, they get shiny. Hate the look but loved the song.

Is that what happened to your car?

No she's in the garage finally cleaned up and looking great after it's last track event. We'll be going out for a fun drive with the Sac. Chapter this coming Saturday and then stop by to visit the Colusa Casino during the drive. I miss the track but I'm not sure I can justify any more wear and tear on the car for my guilty pleasures.:frown:

I like the idea of satin/matte for that low work load to care for it. If it requires less work to keep the look, then the "rubbing" should be next to nothing right?
