mid-Atlantic NSX meet set for Sun. Nov. 17

We have a great NSX event planned for the mid-Atlantic area:

WHAT: NSX group meet + LUNCH + scenic drive + indoor kart race
WHEN: Sunday, November 17, 10:30 AM.
WHERE: Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, VA. Gen. Manager Lenny Gonzalez has agreed to sponsor this event again. They will provide a picnic-style catered lunch and an Acura tech will be on hand. Pohanka currently has two 2002 NSX's on display, including the rare Imola Orange. (email me for directions to Pohanka.)
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
10:30am to Noon- Meet at dealership. An Acura tech will be available to answer questions. One or two lifts may be available.
NOON to 1pm- Lunch and presentation.
1pm to 3:30pm- Spirited drive through scenic Loudoun County horse country.
3:30 to 5pm. Indoor kart race at Allsports Grand Prix, Dulles, VA.

COST: Meet, lunch and scenic drive are FREE! The cost of the kart race will be determined by the number of racers. We will do the popular "sprint race" format as before, to determine the overall fastest NSXer.

Kart race details

The kart race will be held indoors at Allsports Grand Prix, near Dulles, VA. Kart racing has been a big hit at NSteXpo and will also be featured at the national NSXPO event this year. The karts have racing suspensions and HONDA engines- quite a step up from what you find at the county fair. More details at www.allsportsgp.com

The cost is $60/person. PLEASE RSVP AND MAIL A CHECK payable to "Allsports Grand Prix" to: Howard Stanton 465 Virginia Ave. Herndon, VA 20170. Non-NSX owners and guests are welcome at the kart race.


The race format will be as before, a round-robin "sprint race" with 5 races per driver. Each race will have approximately 10 cars and will last for 12 laps. Drivers starting positions will be randomly selected and a detailed computer print-out for each driver will show fastest lap, overall score, etc.
