Well, my clutch was starting to give out, so I decided to have Mark Basch and Mark Johnson replace it with the Dali Streetracer Clutch. Well, since Mark B. was already working on it, he suggested I also have the Short Gears and 4.55 Ring & Pinion installed, since I could save on labor. Hmm, well, I was planning on getting that anyways, so I went ahead and had them do that along with the clutch.
Got the car back this weekend, and just now starting to open her up. F*CK!!! This sh*t is dope!!! I love it!! The car responds so much better. Shifts are so much tighter. Big time AWESOME!!! It's like being addicted to some sort of Speed Crack!!! I can't help myself.
The car does run a little louder at freeway cruising, but I wouldn't say it screams, at least not any more than before. At around "freeway speed limit speeds", the car cruises in the high 3000RPMs. Even with my RM Exhaust, I still don't find it annoying. If anything, the sound to me is quite entoxicating. (It doesn't hurt that I also used to cruise around in my screamin' Integra GS-R with a cat-back exhaust. I guess I'm just used to it.) I'd have to see if it gets too loud on some trip to Los Angeles or perhaps Vegas. Regardless, the car doesn't seem to make much more noise than before.
Bottom line, if you can afford it, you gotta do it!!!
