New sound for the day

Noticed a new sound today - sounds like perhaps a $1K one :biggrin: ... While going uphill on a constant, but not too steep of a hill, a gradual clunking noise started from the back end. Rate is constant with the wheel speed, not the engine speed. It gets louder and more pronounced after several minutes. Goes away if more power is applied, or less power is applied (happens only in a very very narrow torque band).

Sounds almost exactly like a flat tire, but slightly more mechanical in nature.

CV joints? How to check?
