NSXPO 2012 - Colorado - Photos

I hit the local dining scene while I was in Colorado.

Wednesday night, we ate at the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs:

Thursday night, we ate at Flagstaff House, on a cliff overlooking Boulder. I didn't take any photos, but there are some 360-degree views on their website, here.

Like many cities, Denver has some excellent restaurants specializing in breakfast/brunch.

Saturday morning, I ate at the Boulder location of Snooze:

We were privileged to be able to tour the private collection of classic and other vehicle owned by Stephen Tebow. These included early American, 50s, sports cars and other "important" vehicles such as the hearse that carried JFK from Dallas, John Lennon's Rolls Royce and one of the Batmobiles.

Here are some videos of the collection:

While Alan (Climberao) and I were staging the group photo, I noticed a nice older lady with a cane admiring the cars and standing in the road taking a photo of them. I started speaking with her and she was under the impression that they were corvettes but was excited to learn they were Acuras because she drives an Acura.

She was admiring the blue one in the front and I asked if she wanted her photo taken with it. I helped her walk up the hill to stand in front of her favorite color and then she asked me to wait a moment while she suddenly flung her cane off to the side. She said she didn't want to look like a helpless old lady while posing with her new sports car.

And with that, we pay tribute to a new fan of our favorite ride......

Very cool! Love how the NSX gets attention from even folks who aren't necessarily 'car people.' Glad you were able to help her capture a photo. All the pics posted in here are great. The cars and the landscape look amazing, and I especially enjoyed the photo set where you showed each driver with his/her vehicle. Keep the pictures coming.

I made it back to Florida yesterday. I had an great time. Many thanks to everyone who organized and ran a very successful NSXPO 2012.

I totaled 4918 miles round trip (84 miles were on high plains raceway). Got to see some old NSX friends and meet many new NSX friends. I really enjoyed the scenery in Colorado and it was well worth the drive..

just calculated my totals: I got over 28mpg (even with the 4.23 final drive) not counting the gas used at the HPDE.
