I feel so vindicated. He's been my favorite for years and I'm so happy he's earned the respect he deserves.

All of my knucklehead friends were speachless last night, didn't even know who he was.

when you look at him back in pride and now:eek: I want his "workout" regimen:wink:

I feel the same way. Last night was amazing.

A Dos Santos bout will be interresting.Junior can move his hands pretty quickly, but he will be the smaller man.

They need another weight division. This is ridiculous.

I don't get having a 265lb limit on Heavyweight. That's holding alot of guys back..

Who do you know that is above 265?!

I am talking about how all the weight classes are within 10-15 pounds of each other then heavyweight goes from 206 to 265, a 60 pound gap. So a guy at 207 has to fight a guy at 265. That's the equivalent of 5 weight classes normally. I think at 235-240 you need another division.

Weight makes a tremendous difference. I like to think I am fairly skilled but I have to use ALL my skill against a guy that has 20 pounds on me, nevermind 60. I can't imagine what it must feel like to get knee'd by Overeem, I mean it would KILL a lightweight. I remember Big Nog talking about his fight with Bob Sapp, the ex NFL muscled giant that looked like a freak cartoon, he said he was scared shitless. And Nog is 230. I think Sapp walked around at 340. Imagine being in the ring with this guy:

Dave I agree, there needs to at least be a super heavyweight class above say 235.

But Cro Cop punched him till he cried and quit. Usualy these super big guys are not used to getting hit. They have been a bully most of there lives like Bob Sapp and Brock Lesner. I can't wait for the JDS and Overeem fight. Jds is much faster with his hands, seems to pack just as big of a punch and has the stamina to go all five rounds.

Dude... Lesnar got his dookie kicked out of him. wow. I've never seen some keel over like that.

Epic.

He did just have surgery a few month ago. I can't imagine having surgery and then getting kicked by Overeem 9 months later. That's just asking for internal bleeding.

He told everyone he was 100%. No more excuses. Back to the WWF he goes.

Like Kimbo, he was just a flash in the pan.

Just a flash in the pan??? Like Kimbo??? Share what you are smoking with the rest of us bro!

Brock beat several game opponents in his run in the UFC - including Frank Mir, Shane Carwin, and Hall of Fame'r Randy Couture. He's not a flash in the pan by any stretch, but is he as talented as many of the other top heavyweights? No, but comparing him to Kimbo is terrible IMHO. I don't like Brock much at all, but I can certainly respect his ability and desire to learn more about this sport while being game enough to learn it in the ring with some of the most dangerous in the weight class...

I'm glad the REEM won, his strategy is going to need some work for JDS. JDS' hands are quicker and probably a little more powerful, but it's an interesting matchup. If JDS can survive the first 2, he should be able to use that killer cardio and take REEM into the deep water.

I like Overeem, and had him to win, but this was not the "superfight" it would have been 2 years ago.

I'm no Lesner fan, but lets be honest here. Lesner was on the down slope of his MMA career. Diverticulitis has shortened his colon to the point where it is a period, and he takes a shot to the guts? Yeah, he went down. I wasn't surprised at all.

It will be interesting to see what happens when you put Overeem against an artful puncher like Dos Santos, or a submission guy like Mir

I agree Lesner wasn't at the peak of his career in the UFC, but to compare him to Kimbo isn't fair either.

Did you see REEM against Werdum in SF? Arguably one of the best submission artists in Werdum and REEM took the decision. I think Mir would bring better striking to the table, but not sure if the outcome would end differently. The JDS fight is going to be a good one...I'm hoping that JDS takes it, because I'd like to see Cain and REEM fight. That seems to be a good fit...more like what Lesner/REEM should have been IMO

It will be nice to see Overeem clinching with both hands against JDS...
Hopefully the UFC won't have to change the rules if he starts crushing people continuously.
