Oxygen Sensor Problem

The check engine and TCS lights came back on in my car. I pulled the codes and it shows:
P0155.02 Sensor Heater Circuit (Bank 2, Sensor 1)
P0141.02 Sensor Heater Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
P1202
P1203
P0300

The last three codes came on a couple of years ago, but then went away. The car still drives normally without any problems. By searching this site, it seems like I need to replace a couple of oxygen sensors. Is this right? What are the part numbers? Where is the best place to buy them? Is this an easy DIY job? Thanks in advance.

It looks like those sensors are by the pair. I think I only need one pre-cat and one post-cat sensor. Where can I get separate sensors? Is this definitely what my problem is based on my problem codes? How difficult a job is it to replace them?

The 02 sensors are not sold in pairs. They are sold single.

Difficulty varies. Sometimes it is easily with the right tool and leverage. Other times it is seized on there. If your going to replace them for sure, then go ahead and use PBblaster and let it soak for 10 minutes. Make sure you clean the area very well before installing the new 02 sensors. Your going to need the 02 sensor tools. If you don't have one, you can get a loan tool from Autozone.

You might need a extension bar/cheater bar to help you get them off. Find a hollow metal tube that will fit around the wrench. A foot and a half should give you enough torque to remove it.
 
The Denso 02 sensors are OEM from the dealer. The NTK work just as well and are considered OEM also. They fit perfectly and work just as well.

FYI. The NSX is a mix of NGK and Denso parts. I consider the two pretty much equivalent:

OEM Spark Plugs = NGK/NTK (Denso spark plugs works just as well and cheaper)
OEM O2 Sensors = Denso (NGK/NTK O2 work just as well and cheaper)


Get the O2's from Chris@SOS or get them from sparkplugs.com. Chris has great customer service and supports our community.

Bank 1 = Rear (cylinder 1-3)
Bank 2 = Front (cylinder 4-6)

Sensor 1 = Primany, before cat
Sensor 2 = Secondary, after cat

Not sure what specific year your NSX is, but from your CEL codes, it's got to be a 95+, maybe a 2000?. Anyways, here are some part numbers to help you out:

P0141 - Denso P/N: 234-4093 - $92.54
P0155 - Denso P/N: 234-4730 - $178.55

The above part numbers only works for 2000 and up NSX's. If you have an older one, you'll need to research it here: http://www.oxygensensors.com

If you need specific locations on where these O2 sensors are located, just let me know.
 
Replace those O2 sensors first and go from there. It just might clear the other CEL's you're having.

For P0141 code, shouldn't the Denso P/N be 234-4094? oxygensensors.com has 4093 as the post-cat *front*, and 4094 as the post-cat rear.

Am I missing something? I'm getting the P0141 code, and I want to ensure I order the right part.

BTW, I'm surprised at all these O2 sensor failures I'm reading on the forum. Bad quality part? My car, a 2002, has only 27k. Somewhat silly I'm getting a P0141 code already.

First question as asked above: What Year?

Also the codes are "Open Heater" codes which is the same as saying you have a burnt out lught bulb. So age has something to due with it, but this is a common failure.

Reviving this old thread because I am throwing a P0141 code on my 2002 as well and wanted to verify the following:

Per LarryB above, P0141 = Bank 1, Sensor 2 = a rear, secondary (after cat).

I must have some incorrect information regarding this, as I had the following code: P0141 which is for Bank 1, Sensor 2 = a rear, secondary (after cat).

However after purchasing the Denso 234-4094 O2 sensor for my 2003 NSX, I found that it did NOT fit! It was about a couple inches too short from fitting, and I would expect it to have even more slack as well.

Anyone else experience this? I even PM'd scbeast beforehand, so I'm confused as to how it worked for him, but not for me. Unfortunately I sat on the O2 sensor for just over a month before attempting to install it, so now I can't return it :(
 
I just received this code thrown P0141 :confused: and the dealer says I need to replace Bank 1: Sensor 1. Would like to know which is THE CORRECT sensor to get from www.oxygensensors.com or locally. LarryB, or anyone else, what's the correct part number?

Going to tackle this tonight. What is pre cat and post cat? Or does anyone have a picture of Bank 1 Sensor 2? Sorry for the dumb questions.

Bank 1 is the rear cylinder bank. Sensor 2 is the post-cat sensor, which means that it is after the catalytic converter in the flow.
