With the lovefab turbo, is there any advantage- in increased boost and power output- of running forged pistons on a std block?

What is the differnece in doing that against sleeves and pistons?

THanks

The advantage would be that your engine would be stronger allowing you to run more boost. What is your HP goal?

It depends on what you are going to do with the car.

If it's a daily driver/street only car and you're only going to 'get on it' occasionally for not very long, then the need to do pistons/sleeve isn't as high.

If you are going to drag race the car or track it, and actually drive it, then both sleeving and pistons would be advised.

Is it possible to replace sleeves in a block that already has sleeves?
Depends on the design of the current and new sleeves - if they are anchored on the old 'sleeve' or the base of the block (where they should be anchored). Outer Diameter of the base of the sleeve will also dictate if it can be done or not.

The factory 3.0L has steel sleeves which can be machined (unlike the 3.2L block which will require steel sleeves to be installed). The factory 3.0L accepts a 90.5mm piston nicely. We're making 525+ wheel on these with out issue. The forged pistons allow a lower compression and ring / land design ideal for high horsepower forced induction use.

Cheers,
