(for the young or uneducated: these are probably the two worst movies ever made! kool!!!)

Here's a few of my favorites:

Comedy - Being There, Risky Business

Sci Fi - The Fifth Element, Stargate

Drama - The Shawshank Redemption

Classics - All About Eve, Midnight Cowboy, The Graduate

Action - Blade I and II, The Warriors

Wow.. such an extensive list of great movies!! My wife and I will go through the list that you guys suggested once again and add some that we are missing!!

Crossroads
Gigli
Glitter
LOL.
My wife has been dying to see them (oh, add Legally Blonde 2, too - time for me to wax my car while the movies are playing) :D.

Another good few would be the "Band of Brothers" series produced by HBO and written by Stephen Ambrose.

Let me suggest a couple of movies that you may not have seen...but defianately should have.

1. The Way of the Gun
2. The Boondock Saints

These two movies did not get a lot of publicity when they came out. This is a shame because both are absolutely phenomenal movies.

The reason that The Boondock Saints did not get released in U.S. movie theaters is because it was to be released right around the Columbine incident. Boondock Saints is an extremely violent movie and so the studio did not release it in theaters.

BTW, Raiders of the Lost Ark not out on DVD...not till this xmas.

Snatch

Wedding Singer ( could watch over and over, based in the 80's with all kinds of references...)

Big Daddy

The Usual Suspects

Shakespeare in Love

Event Horizon

Gladiator

Road to Perdition

Black Hawk Down

Saving Private Ryan

Catch me if you Can (not bad actually)

How to lose a man in 10 days (again, not bad, she suggested it, I frowned on it, we watched it, good flick.)

Transporter

Fist of Legend (great old school Jet Li flick..surprisingly entertaining fight scenes)

Here are some websites that are "metalists" - lists of top film lists, so you can check out what some of the top critics and polls consider the greatest films of all time:
