Preview: NSX's Gone Wild

I'm fairly sure it'll never be released since news of the the whole crash incident was inadvertently spouted some time ago.

Someone PM me when this vid is done.

What's the point of bumping this thread up, only to write something unimportant and unnecessary?

I make videos for those who enjoy watching them. If you're not interested in the content or anything relating to it, ignore the thread. No one is forcing anyone to view anything, and definitely not me.

That's a bold statement that I'm confident has no facts to back up, other than guesses (the fact that the video will never be released, because of an accident).

I'm responding to this comment, because it could put unnecessary blame -- reason for the delay or incompletion of the full video -- on the wrong person.

First, there was an accident during filming. Specifically, it happened during the first day of shoot. This was never discussed in this thread, because it was not necessary to. The owner, for whom I have great respect and will not name, had the car fixed in blazing speed and was back to finish filming, within a couple of months. At this point, we continued another 7 shoots to finish ALL filming that I'd planned and needed for completion of this video in post.

So you see, the fact that there was an accident is irrelevant to the completion of NSX's Gone Wild. At this point in post production, wether or not the full video will be done is entirely up to the editor: me.
To write a declarative statement like that without concrete and logical facts, no to mention how it could create insult to others, is very irresponsible and is not necessary -- other than to generate animosity.

I wonder if it's too late to cancel my order. ;)

This comes off as sarcasm, so I'll take it as that. But if it isn't, you know where I stand on pressuring people to view or buy anything I create.

Relax guy. I'm simply stating that I'm unsubscribing from this thread and hoping someone will PM me when it's done. Don't get me wrong, I think your work is great. There is no need for ppl to keep on asking about it. That is what I consider an "unnecessary" bump. When you're done with it I'm sure you'll let everyone know.

Whoa...apologies for hitting a sensitive spot. I can understand how you would take offense (though my post didn't have any malicious intent).

Though I contend that my post is, indeed, based on factual evidence and agree that you, solely, are responsible for the 2+ year delay, I do apologize for an error of mixing you up in the circumstances regarding the accident and the nature of that car's subsequent sale. The video delay and the accident are mutually exclusive, I'm sure.

Fair enough, and thank you for the complement.

I'm sure no harm, no foul. I just wanted to be clear, so there wont be any misunderstanding. And I apologize if I made any false accusation.

On a serious note, your name will be subsequently removed from the dvd list... (yes, it's a Joke)

Phu,

You did NOT make any false accusations. You were absolutely correct in what you said. There was an unsupported allegation made (i.e. because there was a crash, the video will not be made.) The individual was mistaken. You corrected the error and simply wanted to make sure that blame was not placed on the wrong individual.

Through this whole time, while others make negative comments, you have handled yourself with integrity. I admire that.

I'm sure that when the video is completed and released, there will be some crow to be served.

How about everybody just shuts up, Phu goes home and finishes this video we can all beat off to NSX Porn?! Sounds like a plan to me. I'll even make you a sandwich Phu!!!

All I can say is with all due respect I want to see the owners of the cars be able to see the finished product before they actually sell said car or modify it majorly, or go to another NSX. Makes sense right?

If its POST production what is holding up the RELEASE? (not trying to be mean)

Thanks, akira3d. That video is very graceful, Hong should be extremely proud.

Regarding NSX's Gone Wild, if you like cars and NSX, you won't be disappointed.

Well we are still looking forward to to your video. I am sure everyone will be blown away.

Can someone just lock this thread, and have him start a new one when it is finished?

The reason why people are getting so anxious is because this thread has been bumped for what seems like years now, and there is still no final product. I'm not bashing the guy at all (I mean, zero criticism from my part) but this (situation) is getting a little ridiculous.

When there is a product, put up a new thread. (let this one die)

I completely understand what you're saying. I feel the same, every time there is a bump in the thread to ask the same questions regarding completion date, etc.

However, I would like to ask the moderator to keep this thread open, as I'd like to update it with information, once the video is close to release and don't want to start another thread just for that.

If it makes more sense, perhaps look at this thread as an NSX built thread. Those familiar with such a process can imagine building a good car to a specific style can take a few years.

Please do not bump this thread up; send me a PM with your questions/comments.

May I ask is it done yet? It has been 3 years already

Honestly I don't think Phu is going to release the video anymore. Last month I was browsing through his videos on youtube and he's been making other videos and previews after NSX Gone Wild. I got a feeling the delay is not due to being busy/workload (or else he wouldn't have time to edit other videos and post on youtbue) but more like the NSX community has rubbed off on him the wrong way. Why make something for a community that harrassed you for something you were doing for free? Either way I hope I'm wrong and he does release it eventually I'm looking forward for it.
