remove tape glue

I taped my car for the track with poor quality Blue Tape. The tape comes off but leave the glue. How can I remove this glue? Lance

Try a clay bar and some lube first, if that doesn't work try a Bug/Tar remover or a product called GOO-Gone.

WD40 then wash off and rewax.

Try white vinegar to start. If that's not strong enough then I'll second the suggestions of Goo Gone and Bug/Tar Remover

The problem started by getting a no name blue painter tape from the HF store The tape was on for two weekends, 11 days, of HP driving. With 3M tape I wouldn't have had that problem. Get what I paid for. Lance

Goof Off if your not careful will remove paint or cause it to bubble.
I always use lighter fluid to remove any glue residue when I change my decals.
Glue comes off and it doesn't hurt anything.

WD40 then wash off and rewax.

WD40 is probably the safest to use if you're concerned about Goof Off...I used it on HF tape after driving back from an HPDE in the rain.

Yes, always start with the least harsh chemical first, maybe post some pics of it so we can see.

Is it hard and sort of crispy or is it sticky still?
