Replacing clutch slave cylinder - from top or bottom?

I am replacing the clutch master and slave on my 97 NSX, hopefully this weekend if the parts arrive.

I have seen recs to replace the slave from the bottom and from the top (after removing the airbox). But I haven't been able to conclude if one method is better/easier than the other. One post suggested the cotter pins were a pain from the bottom. But wouldn't they be a pain from the top too?

just jack it up and do from underneath, after removing cyl, youll want to lubricate clutch fork . then install cyl , its not that hard .

Yes, I've had my car on a lift several times. You def. want to do this from the bottom.

The reason I posted this is because its seems several here have done it from the top. An example:

It reads as if doing it from the top means no need to mess with the shift linkage and cotter pins.

either way there is no need to mess with shift cables , I'am just used to doing it underneath , plus like i said i can lubricate the clutch fork
