Yes, tapered stud on end. You should be able to press it off easily with the correct tool.

Wow, that's surely not the tool I had in mind. I've always used the bar that you drive between to separate. Maybe not a good idea?
 
Never use a pickle fork on an NSX.

the tool I use had a screw that presses directly on the end of the stud (after you screw a nut on it)
