Saleen S7R compared to NSX

Has anyone read Motor Trends Aug 2001 issue. There is an article about the Saleen S7R race car. There is is a line that reads " The S7R felt like an Acura NSX, only with a hell-spawned NASCAR motor stuffed behind the cockpit." Another line read "easing into the first corner, the steering felt light and extremely accurate, not unlike that of the mid-engine Acura NSX" I thought this was cool considering the cost of this car and that this is a race car.

I'd bet the Mugen Dome NSX's would beat it. Those JGTC cars are race cars.

not really, the Saleen race car is designed to be raced in Le Mans regulation GTS class whose cars have typically 600-700hp. The JGTC NSX has 500hp. Totally different class.
