ScienceofSpeed door handles and levers on Edmund's Inside Line

An automotive editor for Edmonds Inside Line recently made a post about repairing his NSX:

Keep in mind, that we offer two parts:
1. machined billet aluminum handles - replaces the factory plastic door handles with a part CNC machined from billet aluminum. We offer the set in four attractive finishes.

2. machined billet aluminum door levers - replaces the factory cast lever on the bottom of the handle.

The part that most often breaks is the lever on the bottom of the handle as shown below. Often, it may look that the plastic part is broken since the screws securing the lever are well hidden and appears when broken to be a part of the handle. The best thing to do is remove the handle assembly, and compare with the photos below. This is unfortunately a very common problem - that nearly ever NSX will some day face. The good thing is that the repair is simple and easy and well made high strength parts are available at a fraction of a price of factory replacements.
