Strasse Forged Acura NSX

Just finished the photo-shoot last week and these were posted by our photographer on another forum. I was actually saving these for our company introduction here on prime but i guess you beet me to the pics!!

You might want to consider asking your photogs not to publish pics online before you are ready next time.

One more motion shot i was able to take while i had my brother drive the car. Still getting used to the camera so sorry for the rookie shot.

Thanks for the compliment!! I'm waiting on the coilovers so i can lower it a little more since im not altogether satisfied with the height right now. Also waiting on rear diffuser and front lip to complete the look so stay tuned.
Specs are as follows:

Strasse Forged SM8
18x8.0 front 1.5" lip
19x11.0 rear 3.5" lip

Falken FK452
215/35/18 front
265/30/19 rear

The front will clear Brembo and most BBK's but the rear will not. I did this to be able to get the 3.5" lip in the rear, but if you will be upgrading the rear brakes as well then a 3" lip would be the largest possible and the rim would be x10.5.

Love the carbon fiber look on the wheels. I think I already know the answer but, are there any weight savings or is it purely cosmetic? Also interested to know the cost….

By the way, how heavy are the wheels?

Carbon fiber is only done for cosmetic appearance. Wheels aren't heavy at all!! These are 6061-T6 high quality aluminum 3 piece wheels. The forging process is done to aerospace precision and unlike casting, the result is an extremely strong yet lightweight wheel. After many people stating that on 18/19 setup car feels much heavier and even floaty, i was very surprised to see how i couldn't really tell the difference after the wheels came on!! Extremely pleased with the ride and feel of the car specially with no rubbing issues neither front or rear even on hard cornering!! Pricing will be revealed in the group buy so keep an eye out for more info soon...

I'm waiting on the suspension so it can go lower! Offset cannot be released yet but this is a custom Fivestar Autoworx offset that we setup together with Strasse Forged specially for the nsx! Thanks glad you like it!

So when are you going to reveal the pricing for the group buy?

Very soon!! I'm working out something very special for the NSX community and I'm hoping by tomorrow my pricing should be approved and ready to be offered. Stay tuned!

VERY nice. I'd roll them on my ride, if the lip was silver!

Color matched silver lips would look great on your nsx!! Would love to see that look!

interresting, when googling strasse forged you mostly get threads on the various forums with the same sequence.A person will post up pics as a sponsored vehicle people go ohh ahhh some dismiss the company as miami flavor of the month ect...http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=315070

I think it looks good with the exception of the lip being completely yellow.....I think black lip with a pin stripe of yellow would have looked better........its suttle but yet has the yellow pin strip to give it contrast. Also it looks funny with the rim sticking out like theres not enough tire to cover the wheel.....but hey its your car so enjoy it.....

Overall it still looks nice and I like the carbon face on the wheel.....hopefully you wont run into any curb rash problems.

btw you might want to check that wire hanging underneath your car....

I would like to know more about those wheels as in price, weight, and sizes offered.

Interesting read about the m3 forum....so many wheels companys with different names popping up and so many shady ones as well.

I'm glad to see the concern members have for the community and how everyone looks out for each other on nsxprime!! Even though this thread was not created with the purpose of selling wheels nor have i even offered them for sale yet, i do appreciate the fact the theres members out there who are willing to look further and look out for the well being of other NSX owners who might be interested in purchasing these wheels. After following NSXprime for many years even before becoming a member i have seen different scams and many members having bad experiences, etc... so being cautious is definitely the right approach! With that out of the way, i would like to say that as owner of Fivestar Autoworx, and also owner of an NSX, i stand behind all the products that i offer and would NOT buy anything for my nsx, or worst offer to other NSX owners, if the quality or reputation of a product was in question. There are local NSX owners who can vouch for the quality and service of the work we do. I can say with great pride and confidence that when buying ANY product or service from us you can expect nothing less than excellent quality and service. Rest assured we stand behind our work! With regard to the M3post, i can only agree on the fact that in forums it goes both ways, many will have good things to say, and other only bad.

The pin stripe is a very clean and nice look, i just personally was going for something different. The great thing about a custom 3 piece wheel is that it fits everyones taste as you can fully customize the wheel to fit your liking. Everything from the brushed center caps, to the hidden hardware(rivets), and the color matched lips were custom made to my exact instructions allowing me to achieve the wheel that i was looking for. Pricing along with specs will be released soon in the group buy I'm preparing for NSXprime, and it will be posted in the appropriate Vendors section. I hope this post doesn't go out of subject i just wanted to share my thoughts with everyone. Again, thanks for all the comments whether to like or dislike they are all appreciated!

Danny.

as in robin from batman & robin would say (HOLY BONKERS)not a fan of colormatched wheels but your car is smokinnnnnnnnnnnn.

Danny when you agreed to sell these wheels did strasse give you info on where the spokes and barrels are made? I'm sure the final details ie painting, screwing together are done in Florida, but where are the components made?

Docjohn,

I know exactly where and how each component is manufactured. I think if you'd like further details you should shoot me a PM and i can further clarify any of your questions or concerns. This thread is mainly to get feedback on the wheels and the setup I've done on my NSX. Like i said feel free to send me a pm, or if not all these questions can be answered for you in further detail once i open my group buy thread in its appropriate section. Thanks for your interest!!

Danny

Glad you like them, all the specs will be posted in the group buy I'm preparing. Keep an eye out for it in the vendors section soon... Thanks for all the compliments and feedback guys.

Danny
