Suggestions on washing the NSX for the first time.

I just got the NSX last week and drove it hoem from LA to San Jose. I have it sitting in my carport covered with the standard NSX car cover. I also put on a bra before leaving LA. There are some bugs caked to the bra,windshield, and hood.
I have never washed a super nice car before, and was wondering if you had any good suggestions.
I read the FAQ, but there were a lot of things there.
If you can suggest an easy safe way I should approach this. Like I said, I'm not very experienced with detailing cars. Also what do you think about steaming the engine bay? My engine bay is very dirty right now.
