I've been a long time user of Zaino and have seen many stuff try to out shine them and this is the one brand that seems to get enough good reviews with Zaino as the benchmark that it has me interested in making the next move.

Ultima Paint Guard Plus, containing Polycharger Wax Booster technology, is the longest lasting, clearest and easiest paint protection you can apply to your car. This product takes about ten minutes to apply to a clean, dry vehicle. Simply wipe on and walk away. No buffing required.

Ordinary waxes and paint sealants easily wash off in a matter of weeks, but Ultima Paint Guard Plus continues protecting, beading water and shining for months. No other car wax product resists detergents, pollution, hard water spotting, road salts, insect remains, bird droppings and acid rain as well as Ultima Paint Guard Plus. The results are guaranteed.

Ultima Paint Guard Plus is a hyper-concentrated formula. When used as directed, a single 4 ounce bottle is enough product to coat a mid-size vehicle up to 20 times. Our super durable formula protects for months, but you may apply it as frequently as you like.

Has anyone used the Ultima product suugested in the Autopia site? I have included a link to the site:

I am not connected with either Ultima or Autopia. I am looking for a new wax/ polish to use this summer, and came across this article and was hoping someone can give their opinion on it.

Thanks for looking.

I have used many different waxes and several sealents. it all depends what you are looking for. Ultima paint guard plus provide ease of application, longevity, but less depth of the color great for a daily driver if you dont have time to detail it once a week. A carnuba wax provides a far richer, lust color that pops in the light, but generally less durable requiring reapplication and its time consuming and much more labor intensive.

As far as the Ultima paintguard plus, I would totally use it on a daily driven car or at least one that is used often simply because its quick to apply and allows carwashes afterwards to be a breeze because of this hydrophobic properties. However, I noticed the ultima leaves a generic overly glossy appearance similar to another layer of clearcoat.

If you want the "best of both worlds", i recommend the Wolfgang Sealent. It provides the darkening effect of a good carnuba while keeping its hydrophobic longevity.

I'm thinking about using this for my GF's silver Benz and/or my daily beater white truck based on the sheening properties for raining season.

For the truly picky detailers(and time abundant), fine carnuba is still my recommendation however, considering the ease of application, its tough to go wrong. It seems pricy but considering how little you need, the bottle provided is plenty. Btw, now that winter is about to arrive, I would recommend applying this in temps above 50 degrees because it would facilitates a smoother, more consistent finish. Ive tried to apply this stuff around 40 degree indiana weather leaving streaks as a result.
