Where are all the Production deliveries ??

So Oakland has better tactics for the NSX than the other shops in the area, good for them.

Other point, Acura is still trying to figure out the details for extended warranty programs.

2 2019 Nord Grays are being built

So colors are basically soft-discontinued, with the ability to be brought back into production if someone asks nicely enough?

I asked a few people if they would do a purple one for me before ordering my NG... no such luck.

Can't tell if the return of Nord Gray for 2 cars is a one time thing or not.

The folks who asked for it, agreed to pay a mild upcharge related to clearing the paint lines/etc.

It will be interesting to see what their window stickers says about the above mentioned charge.

I joked with the Specialist that it was like going with a historical color at Porsche.

Purple would be cool and I am surprised that they haven't done it, considering the woman who led the NSX club is known at the Purple Lady. But knowing Honda, the cost to for a one off related to development, process validation, etc. for each color must be ridiculous.

May is Miss purple....

Oh, you KNOW May must have asked/told the NSX development folks about why purple should exist in the palette already, LOL. Maybe they're holding back for some reason...

It doesnt. In overall new car sales, they're 4th or 5th out of 9 in the Bay Area. However, they tend to order NSXs with few options.

Yeah, I’d take anything Sergio (or the other ACR specialist) says to a customer with a grain of salt.

Dealers are taking PMC editions because they are being coerced to. Maybe even forced. Sure as hell isn’t by choice to take a red that costs over $5k more than a very similar existing red.

You said it and you are heavily involved with Acura.

Good to hear about extended warranty. I asked my local dealer back in May and nothing available (which I pretty much knew).

Also good to hear. If I buy (and I'm still interested), I'm planning on keeping it for a long while, and actually driving it.

Mid-engine Vette will be announced in 3 hours. Probably will be much cheaper. The 17s will be coming off lease, I wonder if 2020 is the year to snatch one up cheap.

Even before the C8 was announced, I’ve been saying all along that the NC1 values are going to plummet when they start coming off lease.

Well the C8 just got released. I presume that it will draw some folks over that might have considered a new NSX. It is a targa right from the beginning and lacks all the hybrid stuff no one asked for. Will be interesting to see how things play out.

Just got around to watch the launch event video, base MSRP less than $60K, it is going to be a game changer once once all teething issues are sorted out.

And it has a front lift system. The timing couldn’t have been better for me. 😀

Wow. I watched the entire launch event. Starting less than $60k with NA V8 at 495 hp/470 lb-ft, 3300 pounds, 0-60 less than 3 seconds with the Z51 package, holds two golf clubs AND targa top, comes with front end lift. And we haven't even gotten to the Grand Sport, Z06, or ZR1 versions, which presumably will have better performance than the base model. Plus, it looks good and can probably be serviced at any Chevy dealer. The General has hit a home run here if they can perform good quality control...it's as if they actually listened to their customer base to put the features on. Sorry to say this, but I think the NC1 is probably dead at this point unless Acura does something to make it worth more than double the price of a base Corvette.

Supercar world just got rocked. PDR HUD front lift NA V8. 60k. Unbelievable

I’m glad you said it. If I did my post would have gotten flagged and deleted. This is perfect timing for me. I’m going to hold onto my Lemonade money and wait a few months and order a C8 now most likely. I think we can call time of death now for the NC1.

I'm hearing rumors about FI versions of the V8 for possibly under $90k. Holy fark if true. I know drivetrain will be solid and reliable, I've had two CTS-Vs and you have to be actively trying to kill your engine for it to blow up. Can't beat a small-block Chevy V8 engine, which has been around for over 60 years.

Now I hope we all know that $59,995 gets you the ugly wheels, a few tenths slower 0-60 time, no lift, or HUD, or PDR, and so on. Realistically, a Z51 car with most of the options everyone will want will probably top $80k on the Monroney. And of course, there will be no shortage of FOMO buyers who will be willing to pay an over for the first 3-6 months (for a car they can make over 30k of annually). So it’s a $100k car initially.

Even at that price? Still worth it.

The only downside is that you have to buy and service them at Chevrolet stores.

80k still a bargain. 70k less than NSX ... with removable top :)

Yeah, the engineering that went into the drivetrain development seems to be substantial.

Front mounted dry sump oil system for the engine, no oil pan underneath, tons of coolers as well as capacity for the various oils and fluids.

Seems like the engineers learned their lessons well from the C6/C7 generation cars that had issues at the track.

Wonder what is going to be the recalibration/adjustment schedule for the clutches in the DCT, as well as the optional E-diff.
