The reefs are the healthiest we've seen in the Carribean. But let me say it's not all peaches and cream; we had a stiff Cozumel like current running off the SW corner of the Klein Bonaire island and the divemaster said we'd be able to make it back easy on the top of the wall; He blew that call  and we had to swim like crazy. Won't get fooled again.

That's scary but thanks to your avatar we know how to get rid of you.

It's 7:52pm. Bored, at Mcdonald's, waiting for a student. Okayama, Japan. About 6 degrees, forecast for light snow, girl just fell down the stairs. (she's okay)

home office in silicon valley. just finished a session with a european client, fed the animals and now heading out for my morning bike ride. should be 70+ degrees here today... not so bad for mid-january.

I am in my bed. I don't leave my bed much on some days. I've been unemployed for about a month so every once in a while I will take a day or two and not leave my bed at all.

How are the bee's doing?

funny you should ask.

dtrigg and i were swapping pm's yesterday and he asked the same thing... i said i've got L.A. Bees - Lazy Ass Bees. not a drop of honey out of the honey supers (the boxes on top of the brood supers) last year. after all i'd done for them, it pi$$ed me off big time.

with warm weather returning, i checked on them yesterday and they rousted up pretty quickly, so they're still there... just laying low through the cold weather and eating they honey they'd made in the brood supers.

come late feb, i'm getting another stack of supers / hive to install on the other side of the yard... see if i can't get a little cross-hive/hood competition going... maybe a little bee-smackdown coming my way ;)

LA Bees, that's my brand of honey ;)

Holy thread revival....

80 degrees?!?!?! It was 87 in Torrance today... and the Valley is much hotter than Torrance, usually. But then again, there was no wind here... so that might play a role.

Oh, and right now I'm at home in Torrance, California. Although earlier I was enjoying the day at the beach, in the middle of winter. Got to love socal. =]
