WTB: 1991 OEM front lip. Looking for the original one that has the thinner profile

Yeah I know that’s why I’m trying to find one lol. I know it’s a long shot. Just thinking maybe someone out there might have gone aftermarket for the front lip or converted to 02+. I already have the newer ones brand new in box.

You need to troll https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/ (buyee.jp) there was one a couple of weeks ago, I didn't bother because it was going to a PITA to ship...you'd have to convince the shipper to roll it up or pay crazy money.

The 91-96 original lip is long out of production. We only can get the 97+ new now and Honda, for some reason, never superseded the original part number, so the original lip still shows up as "in stock" in the parts catalog, but when it is shipped, you get the 97+ version.

OP's only shot is a used lip somewhere. Might be worth checking junkyards.

No cracks and black? If so, where are you located? I think too much to ship if you aren't local to me in Cali

Wow, you are so knowledge on NSXs Drew that I would have thought you knew already. I don't have measurement but it's the same height all the way around vs the later year ones are thicker on the edges. See the picture attached

It appears my NSX lips are the later version.

Back in the 00's. I'd buy one a annually as I daily drove my NSX in the Mad Max inspired streets of Los Angeles.

Honda claimed in 1997 that the taller lip added some front downforce and decreased overall Cd, but man that added height on the corners made it scrape on everything!

Indeed they do ... the original lip's 1.5" in the front and corners while the newer replacement is 1.5" in front and 2.125" at the corners which translates to ruined rather quickly.

As noted above about yahoo.jp, this site crawls a bunch of Japanese auction sites.

This one isn't listed for international shipping but sometimes you can work with the seller and Jauce to still get them. Jauce helps with the auction and shipping to the US with a fee of course. Not sure if you'll find another new NA1 lip anywhere else but in Japan.
