**NOTE***

A few of you have requested if we would consider making some "delete" panels and we can build those by special request. We won't stock any but if you want a delete panel made in either FRP or CF please PM us and we can go from there. The OEM panels will not be made at this time as there's simply not enough demand to justify the tooling costs.

For 2016, we will soon be offering complete FULL CF center console panels. These will NOT be the FRP / CF panels we offer now in this thread but will be complete CF panels. Cost will be higher but we got a lot of requests to make a FULL CF panel.

To avoid confusion we will start a separate thread for the full CF versions very shortly in both angled DD and "DELETE" panel options.

We are planning to have a set of (Approved) DD units that will fit our dash panels. Here you can see testing being done on the Clarion unit.

here's one of our angled CF DD dash panels going into a customer's NSX. His old panel is on the right - note how it was cut pretty badly and now it's ruined. If you use one of our panels you get a complete brand new replacement AND GET TO RETAIN YOUR STOCK PIECE un-molested. One of the biggest advantages is we don't require your stock piece so you are buying a turn-key replacement.

 
Rick this is the discussion we have had over and over. Look at the amount of sanding and cutting done to make that fit.

If i did that to the carbon fiber unit i got, it would look horrible.

With the recessed unit and angle for reducing glare the HU needs to be deep, but if you sand and destroy the beauty of the sides, its worthless
 
The words "turn key" DO NOT APLY HERE

Your piece needs to be sanded and modified to fit a DD HU.

Turn key is used when you have everything you need to open a business and just work as everything is set up for you. This piece takes modification for each person.

The areas circled are sanded down significantly. If that was carbon fiber clear coated i would be through the clear coat and it would look HORRIBLE

here's a sneak peek at our DD dash panel (flush mount with ashtray)

If you look closely we intentionally built out the top part of the panel slightly to solve a common issue with other brand DD dash panels. The ashtray door usually binds when the radio is too close to the bottom of the ashtray door. By slightly tilting it we gain 2 benefits:

a) Slightly reduced glare angle
b) No more ashtray door getting caught

Keep in mind this design is still in prototype testing phase but wanted to share the photo first. We are working with a few major double din dash companies on fitting certain radios to our dash panels.

Look for a custom version of the NSX "delete" panel that will allow owners who want to install their own gauges, switches, etc. Instead of making a blank panel which we think looks un-sightly, we plan to offer a special indentation recessed area to "frame" the dash panel better and be more visually pleasing to the eye. In terms of strength it will still be made with the same high quality materials you find in our CF dash panels and steering wheels.

As with all of our product offerings we will offer this in both an FRP finish ready for paint or carbon finish.

here's a comparison to a home-made job from customer and our CF DD panel angle. Note the differences:

*Keep in mind these one-off custom jobs REQUIRES YOU TO SACRIFICE your stock panel for surgery. Our panel is a new replacement so you get to keep and preserve your stock panel if you ever want to go back to stock with no hint of mods.

 
Wanted to share some photos of our latest carbon DD angled panels. These have many improvements and we did test fitment with Pioneer 7" deck!

Questions please PM us as we have WAY more supply than we can produce right now. We will update lead time when orders are placed but currently product is undergoing final test phase before we will release for production so patience is appreciated!

All PM's replied - we are still taking orders but current lead time is 3-4 weeks out. Once we get your deposit your allocation spot will be confirmed when we have these finished. Each one is made by hand so no real shortcuts but the final product is top quality.

We have had some requests from RHD owners so we are working on a few solutions along with some NSX-R options as well.

Too many projects but we will update here as we have more pieces ready to ship. Demand is pretty high so we will do our best to keep everyone informed.

Standard lead time is 4 weeks from when an order is placed. We try to keep inventory in stock but it's been hard to keep up with orders. Thanks Prime for all your support.

PM's replied - please get your orders in EARLY if you want one by summer time. Our allocation slots are filling up FAST and we can only build a limited number per month as these are VERY VERY labor intensive.

Each one is hand crafted and we guarantee the quality. These pieces are made from the same high quality carbon fiber as our steering wheels and protected with the same high quality UV clear coat to provide years of protection.

For those who have been patiently waiting, we will be offering OEM dash panels very soon. This will be a direct replacement for the OEM dash panel for owners who want to retain the stock radio! We will offer this in both FRP and carbon fiber and will start a new thread very shortly. Stay tuned for photos.

We are happy to report the initial testing phase has gone pretty good and we should be ready by end of this month to showcase our new REPLACEMENT OEM dash panels. These will be direct OEM replacements for those who wish to retain the OEM radio cassette player. We will offer this in both ready to paint and carbon versions.

Also for those who have asked for a special DD dash panel that retains the ashtray, we will have this one as well with our novel slight reduction in glare - in case you guys forgot here's a few snapshots of the prototype!



So to re-cap we will now offer a total of 4 dash panels - each one can be had in either "Ready to Paint" or Carbon Fiber:

a) OEM Dash Panel for owners who prefer to retain the stock OEM radio

b) Double DIN dash panel with slight glare reduction, retains OEM ashtray




c) Angled DD dash panel with maximum glare reduction, delete OEM ashtray

thanks for patience fellas - we are currently on a 4-6 week lead time from placement of order so if you want one PLEASE contact us to get on the list. We can only build a few per month so this is a very labor intensive process as we want each piece to be perfect. Every dash panel is test fitted in a real NSX here at the shop. Not many other vendors can say this about their product!

We just recently acquired a Kenwood Excelon DNN992 for test fitment since this is a very popular radio with the reverse tilt feature!

Take a look at the test fitment photos below. We will be doing a full double DIN install tutorial in the upcoming month. Our schedule is just flooded with work as we also do local installs and have worldwide clients so if you sent us a msg. please be patient, we promise a reply as soon as we can.

a) NSX-R Delete panel with both radio and ashtray delete for a super clean look. This one is finished in carbon fiber!




b) OEM NSX Dash Panel - this is a stock dash panel replacement in carbon fiber for those who want to retain the stock radio
