Michigan check-in & spotting by blodi pt.2

Hey, I recognize that NSX! :D

Here are the details you guys requested for Motor City Casino!

My band (Vinyl Underground) are playing on Saturday, April 16th at 5pm. It's at the Chromatics Lounge in the Motor City Casino. Parking and admission are both free, it doesn't cost anything.

It's great for the people who go to bed early, since it starts at 5pm!

Chris

Thanks for the heads up I'll be there for NSX support

Go to bed early, HEY.......I resemble that remark ;-P

I think that's the same day as the first FOC drive, so could be a nice way to end a day of playing with cars!

Brian

Excellent! :D

I wish I could go to bed earlier. Not having anything to do and being awake until 4am just sucks!

And I've been wondering, what does FOC stand for? I've seen that acronym before but haven't figured it out.

Chris

Chris - Ferrari Owner's Club, I believe.... April 16th sorry not good - cannot visit you and band at MtrCityCasino, but keep posting up and we will get there to see you!

Hi Guys and Gals like most of you after a long winter season I am ready to not only talk cars but see some, too! I guess this post might be more properly posted in “off-topic” segment of Prime, ‘cause it’s about a P-Car. But I included a photo of an NSX, so issue me a “turf permit” and hear me out.
The sun was out today, temp struggling to get to 36 F. No matter, I needed to drive. There was a recollection of a white Porsche 2011 911GTS coming in to Howard Cooper Porsche in Ann Arbor, MI, that actually had a six speed. “Inbound” they said.
A couple of weeks later, their advertisement said “arrived.”
Well a true six speed, white and all, you all know how the 2002 and newer white NSX’s are currently much heralded (and rightfully so). I went to see this P Car today.
I liked it. Seating was awesome – more head room (I could even wear a helmet!). Materials were fine. Clutch and shifter (in showroom) felt just great. Visibility good. Likee.
That said, I would not like taking the “hit” on being first off the showroom floor. Other reservations, saved for another time. But it was a BEAUTIFUL car! And yes, I –did- want to drive it. Me hopes it ends up locally so we might admire it at a show-n-shine or Ann Arbor’s annual Rolling Sculpture car show ( July 9 or so????).

Meanwhile, this thread kicks poo at more than 1,003 replies and 63,146 views. Thanks blodi!

No problem Neal, you gotta do what you gotta do!

I've been by Porsche of Ann Arbor, but haven't been inside. Some very nice examples they have in there!

Chris

Porsche's are nice, but certainly lose a lot of value rather quickly it seems. Very beautiful ride never the less.

I would agree and that is why it is best to buy one which has aged gracefully,

OK Tim, time is up............let's see some pictures of you Porsche!

Also, in anticipation of Spring I'm getting ready to do a brake rotor and pad upgrade on the red car.

I'm interested to hear how you like that setup when its done Brian. Which EBC pads are those?
Hoping to have mine back on the ground and drivable in the next couple weeks. Can't wait for it to warm up!

It was a decision between the EBC Yellows or Blues, it sounded like the Yellows were the better choice for the type of driving we do.
We've had the same plated / slotted rotors on our PTGT for plenty of miles and they're great, so we got a pair in silver zinc for the back of the purple beast and thought the black zinc versions would be cool on the red car.

[Peter Griffin voice] Freakin' Sweet! [/Peter Griffin voice]

So, do those yellow calipers indicate PCCB brakes?
We must meet this car ;^D

Very nice! I'll be interested to see what you think of the difference made.
I already have slotted/drilled rotors and ss lines, but I've heard the right pads go a long way on an otherwise stock setup. I might need some more braking performance in the future.
