Those are excellent numbers. If you put 100k on the car in the last 3 years then it seems as though you are actually driving it. I have to give you a thumbs up for that.
With the TBN still that high after 5,800 miles you could easily run a 10k OCI and have miles to spare.
2005 Boxster S - 2965 lbs. 280hp/236tq
2005 NSX - 3153 lbs. 290hp/224tq
Slaughter was a harsh word to use to describe the advantages the new Boxster S has over the NSX but to say that an S2000 or said Boxster S can't compare is simply ridiculous.
I believe the Cayman S will end all doubts...
What?? How does it not compare?
Perhaps you're not a true enthusaist, and therefore a bit biased and uninformed, but the new Boxster S will absolutely slaughter the 3.2L NSX in any category you put it up against.
How can you love them when you don't even drive them?
Seriously though...why only 6 miles on the Vette? Do you think it's going to appreciate?
As far as the topic is concerned go with the NSX. The Supra looks overweight and boring.
Re: comptech SC intercooler
That's what I'm starting to believe.
The TOV tested a 2004 S2000 as having something like 27 more RWHP than an 03 S2000 yet no one else has miraculously been able to reproduce those numbers.
I think Honda sends ringers with bumped compression for performance tests...
It's the same kind of "special oil" that goes in to the S2000 and there's nothing special at all about it except for a higher-than-normal dose of molybdenum added to the blend. All Honda factory oil is for the S2000 and NSX is Mobil conventional with this extra molybdenum.
In no way should you...
Does anyone know if they stopped offering the coupe in 01?
Is there still an option to order say an 04 or 05 in the fixed roof style?
I'm aware that the 97-01 coupes are extremely rare but I can't say I've ever seen an 02-05 coupe.
Or you could just remove a few hundred pounds from an S2000 and tweak it a bit.
For those that haven't seen it yet:
